Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Traveling Apostles for Christ handles information when you visit our website at https://travelingapostlesforchrist.com. It is effective July 27, 2026.

Information We Collect

We keep this section short on purpose, because our website collects very little. We split it into two parts: information you give us, and information collected automatically.

Information You Give Us

Our website has no comment system, no contact form, no newsletter or mailing-list signup, no user accounts or registration, and no online store. That means there is no place on this website where you type your personal details into a form and send them to us. The only way you share personal information with us through the website is by clicking a donate button, which sends you to a separate service called Givebutter. We explain how that works in the next section.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically by the tools that keep the site running. This includes:

  • The pages you view on our site.
  • Your approximate location, such as your city or country.
  • The type of device and browser you are using.
  • The website or search result that brought you to us.
  • Your IP address, which is a number your internet provider assigns to your connection.

This information is collected in aggregate form. That means we look at totals and patterns, such as how many people visited a page, rather than tracking you as an individual.

Donations and Payment Processing

Donations are handled entirely off-site by a third-party platform called Givebutter. When you click a donate button on our website, you leave our site and go to givebutter.com to complete your gift.

Traveling Apostles for Christ never receives, processes, or stores your credit card number or bank details through this website. Givebutter handles the payment, and the information you give on Givebutter is governed by Givebutter’s own privacy policy. We encourage you to read it.

From Givebutter, we receive only the donor contact details and the donation amount we need to thank you for your gift and to issue a tax receipt. We do not see your full card number or banking details.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

A cookie is a small file that a website places on your browser so it can remember something between visits. Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for security and traffic measurement.

  • Cloudflare may set a security cookie to help protect the site from automated attacks.
  • Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregate traffic.
  • Wordfence may use cookies as part of its security functions.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. If you do, the site should still work for reading and giving, though some features may not behave as expected.

Analytics and Third-Party Services

We use several trusted services to run the website. Each one has its own privacy practices.

  • Google Analytics, delivered through Google Site Kit and Google Tag Manager, measures aggregate traffic. It tells us which pages were viewed, the approximate location of visitors, the device and browser type, and the referring site. The data is in aggregate, not tied to you by name.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces shown on the site. When your browser loads these font files, Google receives your IP address.
  • Cloudflare is a content delivery and security network that sits in front of our site. It processes requests, may set a security cookie, and retains limited request logs.
  • Wordfence is security software running on our site. It logs IP addresses and request details so it can block malicious traffic.
  • SMTP2GO sends outgoing administrative email on our behalf, such as a reply to a message you asked us to send.

Our website links out to our Facebook page and our LinkedIn page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

How We Use Information

We use the information we have for a short list of clear purposes:

  • To operate and protect the website.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which pages people read and how they found us.
  • To thank donors and issue tax receipts, using the details Givebutter shares with us.
  • To respond to your questions when you contact us by email, phone, or text.
  • To meet our responsibilities as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry.

How We Share Information

Traveling Apostles for Christ does not sell your personal information. We do not rent it to anyone either.

We share information only in limited ways. The third-party services listed above receive the data they need to do their jobs, under their own policies. We may share information when we are required to by law, or when we believe it is necessary to protect the ministry, our donors, or the public.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. Donation records, including the donor contact details and amounts we receive from Givebutter, are kept for as long as we need them to issue tax receipts and to meet our record-keeping duties as a nonprofit. Traffic and security logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted or allowed to expire.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the website and the limited information it uses. These steps include Cloudflare’s security network, the Wordfence security software, and careful handling of administrative access. No method of sending or storing information is completely foolproof, but we work to keep the site safe.

Your Rights and Choices

You have choices about your information. If you want to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, please contact us by email or phone. Use [email protected] or call or text +1-843-327-0699. Remember that this phone line has no voicemail, so a call or text is best.

If you do not want Google Analytics to record your visits, you can opt out. One way is to set your browser to block cookies. Another way is to install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. You can also use a private browsing window.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information through the site and you would like us to remove it, please contact us using the details above.

Links to Third-Party Websites

Our website contains links to other websites that we do not control. These include the Givebutter donation page, our Facebook page, our LinkedIn page, and the websites of the services listed above. Once you leave our site, the other website’s privacy policy applies. Please read those policies if you have concerns.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will try to make it easy to notice on the site. We encourage you to check back here from time to time.

Contact Us

If you have read this policy and still have a question, please reach out. We are a small ministry and we are glad to hear from you.
